Short Synopsis
While Jax and Kelderrin visit one of Jax’s contacts at a cheese store, Rastuar and Rolann rest at the inn. After getting a description of Lady Cromm, they head back to the inn.
The next morning, the adventurers sneak into a temple that is adjacent to the castle estate. Their attempt to teleport lands them outside the castle, but with their invisibility, they manage to enter from the top without incident.
They explore the top floor to find an elf assassin, who is one of Jax’s former contacts (whom Jax hires her to their side). The group discovers that a succubus is impersonating the Duchess Morgan Daggerford, and attack her. Before they can slay the succubus, she disappears before their eyes.
Long Synopsis
In search for the story surrounding Daggerford’s strange situation, Jax and Kelderrin stop by a store owned by a wererat selling semi-soft cheese. Seeing that it is Jax, the wererat supplies the sneaky scoundrels the scoop about Lady Wynn Cromm: She is a middle-aged woman with shadowy strands of hair and suited in armor, who seems skillful and a stunning.
Jax and Kelderrin split and sneak to their sleeping space. Jax, Kelderrin, Rasutar and Rolann strategize and select the shuttered Temple of Chauntea as a spot to scout the city’s stronghold. The succeeding day, the searchers slip into the Temple and survey their surroundings. Seeing the slanted slope of the stronghold’s roof, Rolann spellcasts *invisibility* on the squad and *teleports* them to the roof. Unfortunately, a setback sends them several spans away and they spill onto the surface of the sod. They stay *invisible* and use special slippers to sneak onto the slanted roof.
Scouting the stronghold, Jax saw a seasoned senior female scribing on a scroll. Kelderrin sneaks over to see the script to which she is scrutinizing: It is sent by some Silverblade servant to Lady Wynn Cromm and it suggests some succubus is serving as a substitute for the sovereign Morgan Daggerford.
Searching the other spaces, Jax sees a sexy sniper-elfess that he shared some history with. Smooth-talker Jax somehow sways the sexy sniper-elfess to their side with a significant salary. She says that they should slay Pencheska before seeking Cromm, and that Pencheska is a succubus simulating sovereign Morgan Daggerford (a seasoned senior female).
Suddenly seeing who Pencheska is, they surround the senior citizen. The senior citizen shapeshifts into a sultry succubus. Jax and Kelderrin attack the seductive succubus, but before the squad can slay the succulent succubus, she seemingly disappears and slips away.
Some sentinels spring out, but the sexy sniper-elfess shoots them. The party stashes the sentinels in the spot where somebody sh*ts.
