Open House
Party: Coine, Chunk, Dorian, Flynn and Urzein
Short Synopsis
The party talks with the Red Pasha at the open session of the Red Palace and persuade him that there may be trouble lurking in the underground complex below. He grants them authorization to investigate and deal with any issues.
Reluctant guards allow them through the bottom floor. They investigate many different rooms and discover an imprisoned brass dragon that is going to be used as a vessel for some ritual. The party frees the ritual and takes the brass dragon into a large chamber and subdue a red dragon.
The party destroys the red dragon eggs and the brass dragon takes the metallic dragon eggs away.
Long Synopsis
The Red Pasha hosts an Open House at the Red Palace. Dorian and Coine claim that there are problems in the underground complex and show their homework as proof to the Red Pasha. The Red Pasha writes them a hall pass that allows them to investigate and deal with any troublemakers. Before heading back downstairs, Coine makes sure to go to the cafeteria and persuades the cafeteria ladies to give him lots of food for Basso. Basso is grateful for the cafeteria food.
Before returning to the bottom floor, they pay a trip to the office of the Vizier-Principal. The Vizier is not there, so they continue on.
Dorian displays their hall pass, and the guards reluctantly allow them to explore the lower levels. The adventurers explore the barracks, but are warned to not disturb a female guest in one of the nearby rooms. The party’s exploration takes them to the school library where dragonborns are reading about history. Later, they run into some Salamanders in the Common-as-a-Second-Language program and cannot communicate, so they leave them alone. Eventually, they find their way into a classroom being taught by a rather questionable teacher. The teacher is teaching them about the beauty of dragons, and delves into particular detail about admiring their anatomy. They explore another room to find a big circle of rocks with a giant cover.
The party moves on to find a brass dragon named Kitty who was locked in a closet by Yuldeez, who is some sort of bully that intends to use Kitty as a vessel for some sort of hazing ritual or worse. Kitty also mentions that Yuldeez is planning to use dragon eggs as vessels. After Kitty states that it is willing to help them stop Yuldeez from using the dragon eggs, they release Kitty and head out to the main room. There is a massive statue of Tiamat (with two of the heads, black and red, resting at the feet of the statue).
With the help of Kitty, the party manages to subdue a red dragon and several dragonkin. They rescue the metallic dragon eggs, and destroy the red dragon eggs. Coine snags a gem from the statue (by putting it into the bag) and they run out.
